Delta Airlines

Delta Airlines is a big US airline and a leading carrier with domestic and foreign flight services to even more than 300 destinations in 64 countries across 6 continents. The luxury US carrier is based in the US city of Atlanta, Georgia and is the biggest airline in the world in terms of total assets and market capitalization.

Delta Airlines is a founding member of the Sky Squad Airline alliance which has joint partnerships with other airlines such as Alitalia, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic.

Travel Class

The prime airline currently has six flight cabin classes on most of its short-haul and long-haul flights: Standard Economy, Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+, First Class, Delta Premium Select and Delta One.

Basic Economy

Basic Economy is Delta's cheapest cabin level and offers the same travel experience as the more luxurious and luxury economy class-Main Cabin. The only distinction is that passengers travelling on Basic Economy are unable to pick seats for their journey and no improvements to fares, even seat upgrades, are permitted. Simple Economy's all-inclusive fare features facilities such as a main cabin seat, seat back displays for in-flight viewing, free snacks and Starbucks coffee.

Main Cabin

The Delta Main Cabin Class is a luxury economy class that offers some extra benefits over the Standard Economy Class. Passengers flying in this class are entitled to pick their favourite choice of seats and make improvements to their booked tickets, such as cancellations and upgrades of seats.

Comfort+ Delta

Delta Comfort+ provides facilities such as in-flight entertainment seatbacks, free snacks and Starbucks coffee. Delta Comfort+ seats come with an additional legroom area of 3 more than Basic Economy and Main Cabin classes. In addition to additional legroom seats, passengers flying in this class are also given a free blanket, a cushion and a pair of headphones to make their flying experience more convenient and enjoyable.

First class

First Class tickets provide additional perks for on-board passengers on domestic flights, such as a dedicated flight attendant and a complimentary cocktail before departure, as well as free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks served by Starbucks. The First Class seats come with an additional 8-inch legroom area relative to the Main Cabin.

Select Delta Premium

Delta Premium Pick is a superior cabin class offered on chosen international flight routes. This class provides larger seats with a better reclining angle than the lower levels and larger seatback displays for entertainment, along with some tasty meals and fine wines to savour throughout the flight.

Delta One

This is the most luxury of all Delta cabin classes and is only available on limited long-haul flights and on some domestic cruises. The services include a designated attendant, 180 degree flat-bed seats for convenience and Delta's Studio for in-flight entertainment.

Policy on Delta Airlines Baggage

- Travellers can carry 1 hand-carrying bag with a size of 22 X 14 X 9 inches plus a personal object like a laptop or a handbag.

- The baggage policy for checked baggage relies on the cabin class and the international routing for the selected aircraft.

- Flyers flying on international flights to Delta's Economy and Comfort can check in one piece of standard luggage with a linear length of 62 inches (length + width + height) and a maximum weight of 23 kg at no additional cost. Please notice that additional pieces of checked baggage are payable.

Web Check-In

Commuters with legitimate flight tickets can make early online check-in via Delta's official site at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled departure to prevent long queues at check-in desks at the airport.
